Low bush cranberries grow abundantly in the low areas of the Delta. They were traditionally used as a blood cleaner and to detoxify the liver and kidneys
They have a high amount of Vitamin C and were commonly used as a food source. Dried, eaten or just as is or mixed into pecan, cranberries contain compounds to help with urinary tract infections and seem to have immune boosting properties. We offer dried low bush cranberries in packages of leaves or dried or fresh berries may be available in season. Low bush cranberries are harvested in mid- autumn when berries are ripe.
