Description
Saskatoon Berry (Amelanchier Alnifolia) are one of the most common fruits of the Delta. They are loaded with antioxidants and have a wonderful flavor to be eaten.
Fresh, frozen, canned or in pies and pastries First Nations people of the area use Saskatoon Berrys in preparation of a winter food source called pemmican. Saskatoon Berry was used to treat the common cold, to be used to calm the stomach and was used in broths to give to people with fevers. We offer Saskatoon Berry dried and fresh when in season and packaged Saskatoon Berry leaves. Saskatoon berries are harvested in early summer, once the fruit has ripened.
