Description
Patches of White Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) are found scattered throughout the Delta. Dried Yarrow placed on a fresh cut will cause the blood to clot, it contains vitamin A, C,D, E and K as well as calcium, magnesium, zinc and iron.
Traditionally this plant has been used by First Nations People as a blood purifier, a stomach conditioner, as a skin tonic to relieve headaches and as an insect repellent, used to cure migraine headaches. We offer yarrow ground and in packages. It is used in teas, tinctures, and salves. It is harvested in mid-summer, for peak potency, once the plants are in full bloom.
