Birch Polypore

$9.99

The Birch Polypore (Fomitopsis Betulina) is found on dead birch trees and traditionally was used to carry an ember from camp to camp as first aid material for bandaging wounds. It is consumed as a tea or sliced thinly and can be placed over wounds to stop bleeding or to help kill infections. We offer polypore as chunks or ground into a powder. We harvest our polypore in mid summer, before they start to harden off.
