Description
Rose Hips (Rosa Canina) contain high amounts of Vitamin A, B6, C and K. They have anti-microbial and anti-viral properties. Rose hips have been traditionally used to treat kidney stones and for relief from the common cold.
It can be consumed in teas or made into jellies. Care must be taken not to consume the seeds themselves as they have spikes on them that will irritate the digestive tract. We offer rose hips whole or packaged in a micro powder that work well as the spice and is very comparable to saffron. The seeds are included but they are micro ground eliminating any irritation to the digestive tract. Rose hips are harvested in the fall, once they have ripened.
