High Bush Cranberries (Viburnum Trilobum) grow abundantly along the watersheds of the Delta. This fast-growing shrub produces a fruit that was used as a food source and is high in Vitamin A, C and K.
Bush Cranberry was traditionally used as a woman’s medicine for treating menstrual conditions and problems with childbirth. The bark was peeled from a green tree and made into a tea to also relieve these conditions as well as upset stomachs. We offer dried high bush cranberry bark and packages of dry berries and fresh berries when in season. High bush cranberries are harvested in mid- autumn.
